Wilkins’ feature debut Splinter hit theatres on Halloween 2008 after winning six ScreamFest awards including Best Director and Best Picture, a 2009 Saturn Award nomination for Best Horror Film, and nominations for Best Horror Movie and Most Memorable Mutilation at the 2009 Spike TV Scream Awards.


Splinter received rave reviews from The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, LA Times, New York Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Fangoria, Paper Magazine, At The Movies, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, USA Today, Variety, Ain’t It Cool News, KCRW, LA Weekly, and dozens of horror sites, blogs, and print media. Splinter also appeared on over two dozen Best Of 2008 lists including #1 horror movie of 2008 from AMC TV, and has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 85% positive from top critics.


Wilkins’ second feature, The Grudge 3 continues the $280M Sony Pictures horror franchise, and also received positive reviews upon its US release in 2009, and internationally in theaters in 2010.


Wilkins’ first foray into main-stream television came in 2011 when he was chosen to direct three episodes early in the first season of MTV’s Teen Wolf.


Wilkins’ films have been entertaining audiences since 1999, receiving recognition at the world’s most prestigious film festivals. Ranging from Sundance premieres like the quirky comedy I Lost 20lbs In Two Months, Ask Me How (2002), the audience award winning dark comedy Kidney Thieves (2006), and the ScreamFest award winning thriller Staring at the Sun (2005) which brought his work to the attention of horror legend Sam Raimi.
